To schedule meetings via the web

1. Complete this form and click Schedule
2. Click Add to Calendar and select Outlook Calendar (.ics)
3. Set Recurrence options if this is a recurring meeting
4. Add your participants to the To... field and click Send

To schedule meetings via Outlook

1. Download and install the Zoom Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook
2. Launch Outlook, and click the icon from the ribbon
3. Set Recurrence options if this is a recurring meeting
4. Add your participants to the To... field and click Send

To schedule meetings via the Zoom Application

1. Download and install Zoom if it's not already installed
2. Launch Zoom by navigating to Start > Zoom > Start Zoom
3. Click the icon and select your meeting preferences
   
4. Select your scheduling software (e.g. Outlook), and click Schedule
5. A new window with the Zoom meeting details filled in should appear.
6. Add your participants to the To... field and click Send

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a videoconferencing platform that works on Windows, Mac, Smartphones/Tablets (iOS & Android Devices), Room Systems, and standard telephones.

Can anyone join my meeting?

Anyone can join your meeting, including those not affiliated with Alabama A&M University.

Do I need to request an account be setup for me?

No. All AAMU students and staff can go ahead and login. There's no need to request an account or anything else. Just click the "Sign In/My Account" link in the upper right to get started.

What are the system requirements? What kind of computer, camera, microphone, etc do I need?

Zoom should work well on most any modern computer as well as from tablets and smartphones. Zoom has published offical system requirements for computers. This document also lists recommendations for cameras, microphones, speakers, and other accessories.

Visit Zoom's website, support knowledgebase, or YouTube channel.

Zoom has many applications in teaching and learning:

• Teaching to remote students
• Bringing remote presenters into the classroom
• Teaching class when you have to be away from campus
• Meetings and work session for group projects
• Office hours
• Managing around curtailed operations on campus

Keep in mind that all AAMU students can host Zoom meetings with anyone that they would like to connect with as well. They do not require a faculty member to setup and host a Zoom meeting session.

This is a list of known bugs with the Zoom software. Once issues are resolved, they will be removed from this list. Please keep your Zoom software up to date.
